And the bride wore…bowling shoes

A Coleraine bride and groom were so “bowled over” by their first date that they managed to get a quick game of bowling in just an hour after saying “I do”!

Emma Campbell and Mark Smyth went bowling at Super Strikes at the Jet Centre three and a half years ago and the couple have never looked back.

So straight after saying their vows they headed over to the Jet Centre to bowl a few games – and get their wedding photos taken.

Emma – who wore a gorgeous champagne coloured Ian Stuart dream wedding dress – swapped her heels for bowling shoes.

“We had such a fantastic first date we thought it would be fun to get our wedding photos taken at the bowling alley,” Emma explained.

The couple met when Mark worked at a local coffee shop where Emma went to get her morning Latte. “We got chatting and he asked me to go out bowling. Now we’re married and have gorgeous twin boys – Ethan and Mason.”

As the couple head off on their honeymoon, Jet Centre manager Wanda Donnan said staff at the centre were thrilled to be part of the Smyth’s big day!  “We wish them all the best for their life together,” she said.
